Artwork & production

Attach artwork to orders and move status from art approval through production so the whole shop sees the same job.

Artwork on orders

Add and edit specs from the order Invoice tab → Artwork SpecificationsAdd Artwork:

  • Printing method (screen print, DTG, embroidery, sublimation, DTF, and more)
  • Placements (front, back, sleeve, and more)
  • Colors (hex, Pantone, notes)
  • Preview image (what customers and online stores show)
  • Art status
  • Customer visible vs Hidden from customer

The Artwork tab is a gallery of those records.

Previews are stored with your shop’s artwork storage (Settings → Integrations). Most shops can leave the default.

Production files vs mockups

Mockups / artwork previews Files tab
Customer can see If you mark the artwork visible Never
Typical types PNG, JPEG DST, AI, PDF, separations, any production asset
Size Image uploads About 150 MB per file

Do not put production-only files on artwork records you share for approval.

Design tab (AI canvas)

Design on the order opens the in-app designer. New design, edit, Save to order, and optionally create or update artwork from the mockup so Invoice, approval, and the online store can show it.

Print shops can also share a catalog into the designer from Settings → My Catalog (Share AI Designer).

Creators use a standalone Product Builder and Gallery; that is a separate account type from the print-shop sidebar.

Production workflow

Orders move through statuses you define. Change status from the order header, the orders list, or the timeline. Changes log in Activity.

Common pattern:

  1. Quote / art pending
  2. Customer approves quote + visible art
  3. In production
  4. Complete → pickup or delivery

Map statuses to Customer order tracker steps so the public approval page shows a simple progress bar.

Shop floor visibility

  • Orders — filter by status; Timeline for dates
  • Schedule — month / week / day by start, due, or both
  • Activity — who changed what (some entries client-visible)
  • Artwork gallery — all mockups across orders (enable the app under Settings → Sidebar if it is hidden)
  • Tasks — assign purchasing, print, pack

Tips

  • Set realistic deadlines so the schedule is trustworthy.
  • Keep art status in sync with customer approval.
  • Use internal activity notes for shop-only details; mark client-visible updates when customers should see them.
