Tax rates in the workspace

Define rates under Settings → Taxes (Add Tax Code). If QuickBooks is connected, you can pick a QuickBooks tax code instead of typing a rate. Assign tax on New Order / Edit Order, or use No tax plus Tax exempt.

Line-item tax follows the order. QuickBooks Automated Sales Tax may replace a simple rate when that option is on.

QuickBooks Automated Sales Tax

When QuickBooks is enabled, estimates and invoices can use Automated Sales Tax based on the customer’s address. Confirm it is turned on in your QuickBooks company settings.

Tax-exempt clients

Mark a client as tax-exempt on the client record when applicable. Review the order before sending for approval so totals match your shop policy.
